fjr - Engine Oil, Filter, and Gear Oil Changed
Not much to say. End of year maintenance. The engine oil I removed looked brand new. The gear oil had fine metal particals in it but no sizeable metal pieces. It was actually extremely simple to change the final drive oil. I continue to be impressed at how easy routine maintenance is on this bike. I was expecting far worse.
I must say too, I used the Rotella T6 5w-40 fully synthetic oil at the suggestion of the prior owner. I used that oil in the summer heat and the winter cold (and I do mean 30 degree cold). It worked great. I dont plan to use any other oil in this bike.
